Skyline Drive

This morning we woke up and decided to drive to the mountains to see the last of the fall color.  Shenandoah National Park is just a short hour and half away and we had heard that Skyline drive was the place to enjoy all of the fall foliage!  We headed out at 8 and arrived by about 9:15-9:20.  Easy!  We took our time driving up and getting out at all of the overlook points.  Samuel kept saying "stop here momma and take my picture." He was sooo good and we really enjoyed our day.  Thankfully we arrived early because when we were leaving, the amount of cars coming in was insane!  It would have been miserable to drive up the mountains going 5mph and not have any room to stop and get out.  We pretty much had everything to ourselves and it was so nice.  We stopped at a great little place called The Apple House on our way home for a late lunch. Being around the mountains definitely gave me ski fever!  I can't wait to check out the slopes close to us and teach Samuel to ski.  So fun!
