We had a wonderful visit to Mt. Vernon with grandma, Linda and Lauren one beautiful Sunday after church. The weather was just as lovely as the amazing property. I ended up buying an annual pass because it was such a great place for Samuel to run around and get some energy out. I also hear it's gorgeous at Christmas time!
Samuel loved the sheep!
Look how cute these new, baby pigs are!!
We almost took the 45 minute river cruise, but decided on the wagon ride instead.
This is where George Washington grew his wheat.
This is the 16-sided barn where the wheat seeds were removed from the stalk.
Samuel decided to ask the lady a question to the woman in the old slave quarters. He asked her where the fire was...:)
The grounds were absolutely lovely and beautifully manicured!
As we were leaving, we stumbled upon the children's museum and they had dress up clothes that were too cute...
We had such a lovely day and it was so fun to explore something new so close to home!

Time to blog again...
So, I don't think I've blogged since November and it is time to start again! I really miss having the blog to look back on and read.
Mom, Linda and Lauren were here last week to visit and we had a fabulous time!
Samuel was SO excited at the airport!

The day after their arrival, we decided to see Mt. Vernon. I had never been and I'm so happy we went. It was just beautiful.

Georgetown day! Sprinkles cupcake at 1030am!

And....Georgetown cupcakes for after dinner treats!

Trolley ride!

We went to Lucketts one day and also downtown Leesburg to antique shop. Great day:)

Cozy on the couch!

Arlington Cemetary

After Linda and Lauren left, mom stayed for a few more days. We did a boat tour one afternoon.

Random fire truck in Georgetown!

Mom and I did more shopping in Frederick, MD one afternoon. This is Chartreuse, one of my favorite places!

Always good for my soul to have family here!
