7 Months and sassy as can be

I still can't believe that sweet boy is now 7 months old! Time is flying by and it gets better every single day. I know, it sounds so cliche, but SO true. He is by far the best thing that has every happened to Thad or myself. What an absolute blessing he his. He is such a "big boy" now and I mean that very literally. He sits up like a pro and sleeps like a champ. We feel very lucky to have a baby that can't wait for naptime and bedtime and wakes up so happy and full of joy!
We are starting to experience the "joys" of an opinionated child and let me tell you, it's very interesting. He lets us know quickly if he's unhappy, bored, excited, or just wants to be noticed. Sitting up is old hat to him now. I can actually leave the room if needed and come back to find him happily playing on the quilt..still sitting up. He has two bottom teeth but I swear we've been working on some more for about a month now. Poor little guy is just miserable but will still flash a big smile even with red, swollen gums. Sleeping through the night...well...he finally "got it" as soon as we got home from Thanksgiving. He's been sleeping from about 7-5 for over two months but he's going from 7-7 or 8..or 8:30 now. It's so great and I'm so proud of him. Heck, he can go longer without food than his mommy can! Here are just a few things that I want to remember about my little 7 month old:
  • sleeps for 12+ hours at night
  • takes (2) 2 hour naps a day
  • eats three solid meals a day; one jar of food and some oatmeal for breakfast, 1 jar at lunch, and 1 jar of food and oatmeal for dinner; his favs are still carrots, sweet potatoes and bananas
  • (4) 6 ounce bottles a day
  • wears size 2-3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes
  • loves to play Peek-A-Boo
  • watches Praise Baby every single night at 6pm if we are home
  • doesn't let us rock him to sleep at bedtime anymore; he wants to drink his bottle and go straight to his crib; mommy had a really hard time with this one
  • still LOVES his bath and has started to sit up and play with toys
  • LOVES the camera
  • chews on absolutely everything..even things that are completely impossible to get in his mouth
  • kisses mommy and daddy (usually just a wide opened mouth) and hugs us all of the time; loves to snuggle
  • has to sleep with Pup Pup and a little blanket that Thad had as a baby
  • he can now put his paci in his mouth so we place about 4 paci's in his crib at night and we never hear a peep
  • he still loves the jumperoo and the exersaucer
  • he is much happier during the day if we get out and about; he is very observant and loves to people watch

That's enough for now..I think I could go on forever. We are really looking forward to the next couple of weeks. We are going to see Santa, the trains at Northpark, and then all of our family! I can't wait for my little boy to see the magic of Christmas for the first time! We love you Samuel Cade (Cader Potater) and just love every day with you!
