Playing catch up

Well, it is obvious that my blog has taken a back seat lately to all of the fun December activities we've been enjoying. I've also made it a point to be on my computer/IPhone less so obviously, the blog has suffered. Here is my attempt to catch up!

In early December, we went to see The Trains at Northpark. It is an exhibit that our mall puts on every year and it was awesome! Samuel absolutely loved it! We have already gone back for a second look because he loved it so much!!

Our little friends Reid and Wesley came along too!!

First Haircut

On November 4th, Samuel had his first haircut..and overall he did great! Thank heavens for dum dum suckers and a TV with Elmo. His hair is very fine and probably wasn't too long, but it was getting stringy and it could no longer by spiked up..and I LOVE spiked, messy hair so I decided it was time.

Here he has no clue what's about to happen... Oops...looks like he figured it out. This is where she was trying to use the electric thingy on his neck. He was NOT feeling it!!

Once again, trying the electric thingy...

Finished product. Not the best picture, but oh so handsome!!

Trunk or Treat

Last Friday night, our church hosted Trunk or Treat. It was from 7-9 so we weren't sure how our little cowboy would do, but he had a great time. We visited all of the trunks and got candy, saw some dogs which was probably the highlight of Samuel's night, and went on a hayride!

This picture was taken on our way. I made Samuel's chaps but I didn't trust the construction of them to last after being buckled in the car seat. So, he went in his sweatpants and boots ! So, so cute!! Inspecting his costume.
This sweet woman thought she would let him pick out his own candy. After throwing a few pieces on the ground, we gave up and just put some in his Pumpkin.

Here he is with two of his friends, Ava and Addison...sweet Ladybugs!

This is the closest the hat ever made it to his head. Oh well, at least we got one picture with the hat!

Here we are on the hayride..the kids were unsure at first but I think they liked it.

Arboretum visit with great Papa

Thad's grandfather was in Fort Worth visiting family last week, so we drove there and kidnapped him for a couple of nights and had a blast! Here are some pictures from our day at the Arboretum Pumpkin patch as we enjoyed the fabulous weather!

Love his little coat! It has little ears on the hood:)

Fayetteville visit

Two weeks ago we headed to Fayetteville on Friday morning for a quick trip. We had a great time and Samuel was spoiled rotten, as usual! Friday night, mom watched Samuel while Thad and I went on a date with Jason and Meredith. We had such a great dinner at Hugos and had a good time catching up. It was a treat for the four of us to get together without any kids. On Saturday, the four of us went to the Razorback game and somehow managed to stay pretty dry even though there were 3 rain delays. That night we headed back to their house and celebrated Meredith's birthday with all of the kids and grandparents. It was a fun night and obviously pretty crazy, because I didn't take one single picture. Sunday was church and then a nice afternoon at mom's house running around outside and enjoying the gorgeous weather. That night, the church had a bonfire service and fellowship. What a great weekend!!

Zoo

About a month ago, Samuel and I went to the zoo with our good friends Ava and Rachel. We had so much fun! This was our first time to go since they have opened up the new African Savannah. It is awesome! All of the animals roam together and you can even feed a giraffe our of your hand. I think I was more excited than Samuel was!
