Lots o' hair!

I just had to post some pics of Samuel's hair. It is growing SO fast and it is very handsome. As you can see..the boy never smiles for the camera. He will be all smiles until I pull the camera out..and then he gets so wrapped up in staring at it that there is no way to get a smile. Oh well...the hair is pretty darn cute!

Rub a dub...

This is our new favorite time of day...bathtime! Samuel loves it and is so precious during it. He knows that after bath comes bottle then bed and he immediately starts rubbing his eyes after we get him out. No tears...just a really sleepy boy...Adorable!

Samuel's first play group!

Rachel had us over for a play group on Monday. It was so much fun. I was a little worried because it was smack dab in the middle of Samuel's naptime..but he napped over there! It was so great..and unexpected. He really enjoyed watching the "big kids" play and was quite sociable when he woke up. Little stinker..isn't he adorable! I digress...Thanks Rachel for such a fun afternoon.

Our weekend!

We had a really good weekend! Thad came home Friday and brought me 2 huge bouquets of Lillies! They are still so pretty! It was pretty rainy and dreary most of the time here in Dallas so it was nice just to stay in and rest on Saturday. That night we went to dinner with Mimi and Grandad. It was so good and Samuel did pretty well...considering bedtime was just around the corner. This is the good news! Samuel now has a bedtime...and has consistantly kept in for a week now. We bathe him and "bottle" him anywhere between 7:30 and 8 and he goes down awake and puts himself to sleep. This has been so great for Thad and I..we actually have a night now to just hang out.

I was playing with my camera the other day and got these adorable pics. The first one cracks me up...he's like his daddy..hates the camera and is letting me know his thoughts! Ha

Just a little happy!

My little Sam is really ready for football season! His daddy talks to him about Nebraska all of the time and he's really getting geared up! I'm leaving for a weekend in September and they are going to have a boys weekend. I've been ready for him to wear this football onesie for a while now and he is just fitting in to 3-6 month clothes. The last picture is just me playing with my camera. I am really wanting to take a photography class and am trying to read up all about my camera. If anyone has any tips on how to make the background completely black..let me know. I love seeing pictures where everything is blacked out except for the baby! Enjoy our Samuel!

In love!!

How is it possible to love someone this much...after only knowing them for 11 weeks? I can't believe the amount of love I feel for Samuel. People always tried to tell me how much I would love my child..but I had know idea. My whole world revolves around him now. Everything I do, I do it with him in mind. I feel the enormous responsibility on my shoulders to raise a godly man but I am so ready to take on the challenge. I could just sit and stare at him and cry when I think of how truly thankful I am that I have this child. I know how short life is and I am so grateful for every moment with him.
